Convergys Seeks to Hire 865 EmployeesBy Joseph Shieh, Editor POSTED August 7, 2011 CINCINNATI -- Convergys, a leading operator of call centers, announced plans to hire for 865 jobs in Cincinnati area, Orlando and Longview, TX. The company is seeking candidates from throughout the Cincinnati metro area for 225 positions at its state-of-the-art contact center in Erlanger, Kentucky. About 20 of the positions provide the opportunity to work at home after the completion of on-site training. New employees will provide customer service/sales or technical support for Convergys clients in a variety of industries. "New business and the growth of current client programs have resulted in new employment opportunities for job seekers in the Greater Cincinnati area," said Debra Arthur, recruitment manager for the Convergys contact center in Erlanger. "We're also hiring for a few Full Account Management positions that feature a higher pay rate, bonus incentives, and a set weekday schedule with no evening or weekend shifts." Convergys is hiring customer care account managers and customer service/problem resolution representatives to support a client in the telecommunications industry. Customer care account managers are liaisons between the client and their new customers, serving as the initial point of contact for any questions or concerns. In general, candidates must have a minimum of two years past project management experience, and familiarity with telecommunication products. Customer service/problem resolution representatives will assist customers with the addition of new services, changes to their account, or any technical troubleshooting or billing questions. In general, candidates must have at least one year of customer service experience. Convergys also is hiring technical support representatives to troubleshoot hardware and/or software issues for a Convergys client in the technology industry. In general, candidates must have a high school diploma/GED and at least one year of experience in customer service and technical support, as well as a thorough understanding of various software applications including Microsoft Windows and Mac OS X. In addition, the Convergys contact center in Lake Mary is hiring bilingual customer service/problem resolution representatives for a new client in the telecommunications industry. These representatives would provide support in both English and Spanish to customers who have technical or billing issues, or who seek information on new products or services. Potential Convergys employees for any of these positions also should possess strong computer troubleshooting and keyboarding skills, and the ability to communicate and multi-task effectively.
